Some of my friends know I've been having trouble with my uni work and overall motivation to do anything. I needed to get some drawing done to get it back but I couldn't (and still can't) think of much worth drawing.
Now I've just spent the best part of my day watching the entire series of Grenadier on YouTube, among many other animations found around dAland. The gun fight in Grenadier's last episode got me motivated enough to actually try storyboarding a fight scene of my own. Anyone on my course would know I HATE doing storyboards, but it's a necessary evil at times.
Even so, I enjoyed this one. I'd say the inspiration (for how I imagine it would look finished) comes from that last ep and *Inkthinker's animations.
The storyboard isn't finished, but I've got more important things I should be doing. Nonetheless, I wanna do a practice animation with it (since we never have time in term time ) So at the risk of further putting off the work I should be doing, I may actually become a better animator.
I could write a rant based on that last sentence but I'll leave that for the journal.
Anyway, talking too much.

NOTE: that second row of drawings just looks wrong somehow -_-
Wow!! this is really cool!!! I cant wait to see it when its finished I dont think the entire second row looks 'wrong' but i do think that the first frame in that row looks a little odd....it looks like there is something coming out of her left side... its kinda like a box.... other then that though it looks awsome!

next, i wish i could see the bloody comment on it u did, so i could comment on that.....BUT I CAN'T!!!! stupid DAv5
anyways looks cool dude, is this a new one? (for uni) or an old one, cuz it looks similiar to the one ure half way thru
awesome!! but...you hate storyboarding?!?!?! I LOVE storyboarding! it's like, one of my fav. parts of the process...I hate the anal animating part of it!! lol, we'd make a good team
That. Is. Amazing. You really get a feel for the sequence, even remembering it back I can see the movement, the fight scene is awesome, I love the block and all the facial expressions are really spot on, full of emotion, the zooms in and out. Amazing.
Looks pretty good to me. Hard to believe all that storyboard will probably equal about half a minute of time though. Love to see it as an animation though!

Always looking for more talented anthro artists!
That box in the first frame is supposed to be her dress flying up ehind her as she falls. I didn't draw it very well though since I was noly sketching it out quickly. I'll probably fix all of that if I ever animate it

You can't see the comment? Tat sucks, maybe you should change your browser
It's a long comment full of possibly needless explanation and mini ranting so I guess you're not missing much.
Anyways, this is a new one for White Shadow vs Violet (putting off uni work again). Kinda like the other one I did but hopefully much better. I got inspired by a cool gunfight I saw in an anime - kinda like the one in Equilibrium, lots of kungfu gunnery
