Anyone who's played enough of the recent Sonic games should have some idea of what this is about. This is kind of a piss-take of how all three of these guys seem to believe that they are the "real Sonic" or the "real deal" and the others are fakers or copies. Shadow said this in SA2 and Metal Sonic pretty much throughout the entire series (more so in Sonic Heroes).
I never really intended for this to be a full CG, I just sketched this seemingly random idea and decided to clean it up a bit. Then it turned into this It's the first time I've done a real cell-style CG in a while, my last attempts didn't look very good but I'm happy with this one.
Media: Painter Classic (lineart) and Paint Shop Pro 7 (colours)
Things I like:
- You kept a Sonic-ish feel to the art, while adding depth of your own
- Did I mention depth? This is very three dimensional
- The detail on the characters. Great job on that.
- The theme is a good satire on the Sonic Series (also, how many "ultimate weapons" have there been in the Sonic games? )
- You actually managed to make Metal Sonic look more pissed off than normal. Props!
Things I don't like:
- The purple glow. It'd look better on a black background, or if we knew where it was coming from.
As for that ultimate weapon question, I count six of 'em, minimum.
XD hahah this is so great! you did all three characters wonderfully, and it's a good idea too with all the new sonik games and such like you said. I like it ^.^
