Hoo boy~ I finally finished it! Been a while coming but it's nice to finally see it done
I certainly learned a lot from this one. How best to arrange my layers, different lighting, rendering up all those backgrounds... Two main things stand out to me though: 1. ALWAYS map out the area that characters are in so that you know where things are in relation to each other. 2. With that in mind, always be aware of where light is coming from. Slightly crapped out on both of those
So then, there are many things I'm happy with, many things I'd do completely differently. Overall though, I'm quite pleased with it all. Probably couldn't maintain this level of detail for a whole comic, but at least now I know I actually have a shot at making more like this. This one's far from perfect (odd lighting at the end) but that's something to learn from.
Anyway, lemme know what you guys think. Regular comment mode, but feel free to critique if you wish
Thanks! I try to get these comics looking as polished as I can - mostly for practice's sake. Gotta get quicker at doing them to a high standard so I get confident enough to do the whole story.
I don't know if I've told you this before, but I REALLY love this comic! Especially since Felicia's reactions are so real! and I should know; had almost this exact conversation with someone once.xP) On a side note, I wanted to ask you; on average, how long did it take you to do each page? Both with and without the colors. n_n I'm sking because I drew a comic the other day and I feel like it took me WAY too long, but I have no real point of refference here.
